- "Intellectual Property – a(n) (un)justified monopoly?"
There are four airports quite close by and also Dresden has its own airport.

Unfortunately there are not so many direct flights to Dresden. Furthermore it is usually a bit more expensive to fly to Dresden itself. Still we would recommend to check if it is an option.
From the airport you can take the S-Bahn to Dresden main station (Hauptbahnhof), which is really close to the accommodation.

Berlin Tegel
It’s the fourth busiest airport in Germany. It is a flight destination of quite a few low budget airlines such as Germanwings, Vueling Airlines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
From the airport the best option is to take a bus to Berlin main station or Berlin Alexander Platz. From there you have several bus and train options. It depends on the time of the day and your personal plans. May we kindly remind you that we are happy to discuss your individual situation and help you find the most suitable arrangements.

Berlin Schönefeld
The airport is located in the south of Berlin and thus closer to Dresden. There are even more low budget Airlines flying to Berlin Schönefeld then Berlin Tegel for example: Ryanair, easyJet, Norwegian, Condor and more.
From Berlin Schönefeld it is really easy to get to Dresden via the Bus lines. Mein Fernbus is a reliable and cheap option to get to the main station of Dresden, which is really close to the accommodation.
It is also possible to take the train to Dresden, but as it is generally more expensive and sometimes more complicated we recommend taking the bus.

The airport of Leipzig/Halle is also a good option to get to Dresden. This airport is connected by quite a few low budget airlines such as Ryanair, Germanwings, Condor, Swiss and more.
From the airport you simply take the S-Bahn to Leipzig main train station. From there you can take a train (usually a bit more expensive) or a bus to the main train station in Dresden.

It may seems a bit odd to fly to Czech Republic to get to Dresden, Germany but since the airport of Prague is the destination of quite a few low budget airlines such as Ryanair, Wizz Air, Norwegian, EasyJet, Swiss and some more it sometimes is the cheapest option to get to Dresden. Furthermore, Prague is only 2 hours away from Dresden by car and approximately 2-3 hours by train or bus.
From Prague Airport you take the bus to the main station (only about 2 Euros) from there you can either take a train to Dresden or go on to the bus station of Prague and take one of the buses to Dresden for example Mein Fernbus.
